LOS ANGELES & BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MADE in USA CERTIFIED, Inc. is a proud sponsor of the second annual Hall of Fame celebration that will take place at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, in Los Angeles, California on July 2nd.. This event, put on by the Made in the USA Foundation, celebrates businesses who exhibit excellence in US manufacturing practices and standards.
This year, MADE in USA CERTIFIED, Inc. has three certified companies nominated in the following categories:
- Chocolate – The Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
- Spirits – Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Austin, Texas
- High Tech – Aeronautica Windpower, LLC, Plymouth, Massachusetts
These companies will be among 76 exceptional US manufacturers nominated in 21 different categories. Among these great firms are some All-American iconic companies like: Harley Davidson; Smith & Wesson; Remington Arms; Ethan Allen; Sub Zero; Whirlpool; Viking; Blentec; Vitamix; All-Clad; Gibson Guitars; Intel; New Balance; 3M; Xerox and Samuel Adams….to name a few.
All 76 companies nominated will be evaluated on their: contribution to job creation in the USA; innovation and quality; market competitiveness; accurate labeling; and promotion of Made in USA products, as well as their labor and environmental standards of excellence.
It is more than symbolic that this event is held on July 2nd. This date was actually the first date where the US Continental Congress declared our United States resolution for Independence, first done on July 2nd, 1776. This day is being honored as America’s first ‘Made in the USA’ Holiday.
