The Federal Trade Commission is sending more than $180,000 in refunds to consumers harmed by false Made in USA claims by the motocross and ATV parts maker Cycra.
On its website, social media, and product packaging, Cycra, from 2019 until at least May 2022, deceptively claimed that its products were made in the United States, according to the FTC’s June 2023 complaint against the company. The claims included a web banner, “Proudly designed, developed and manufactured in Lexington, North Carolina,” and product labels featuring the words “Made in USA” with an American flag image. Despite these claims, the FTC alleged Cycra regularly imported parts from Asia and Europe for its products, with some arriving in the U.S. already labeled “Made in the USA.”
In a world where integrity and authenticity are paramount, the ‘Made in USA Certified Seal’ stands as a beacon of trust and quality. This seal not only symbolizes products genuinely manufactured within the United States, but it also guarantees compliance with rigorous standards that resonate with the patriotic spirit and economic ethics of U.S. consumers

“In a world where integrity and authenticity are paramount, the ‘Made in USA Certified Seal’ stands as a beacon of trust and quality. This seal symbolizes products genuinely manufactured within the United States and guarantees compliance with rigorous standards that resonate with the patriotic spirit and economic ethics of American consumers.
The recent enforcement action by the Federal Trade Commission against Cycra, a motocross and ATV parts maker, underscores the critical importance of this certification. Cycra falsely claimed its products were made in the USA, misleading consumers and compromising trust. The FTC’s intervention, resulting in significant refunds to affected consumers, highlights the repercussions of such deceptive practices and reinforces why consumers should actively seek out the ‘Made in USA Certified Seal’.
This seal is not just a mark; it’s a promise of quality, transparency, and American craftsmanship. It serves as a safeguard against the dilution of the value embedded in genuinely American products and ensures that consumers are supporting the local economy in a meaningful way. Always look for the ‘Made in USA Certified Seal’ to ensure you purchase products that embody the essence of American ingenuity and labor.”
