// ]]>About 7,800 of these “Haunted House Screen Tea Light Holders” have been distributed to Yankee Candle stores nationwide, including here in Charlottesville. They sold for $25.
Authorities caution that people who have bought these candle holders should immediately stop using them for safety reasons. The window panes on the screen can ignite, authorities say, posing a fire hazard.
There have already been three reports of the window pane catching fire, but no injuries have been reported.
The haunted house measures 15 inches high by four inches deep, and can hold up to six tea lights. The tea light candles aren’t involved in the recall.
