The Dream, The Vision and The People Behind It

Delray Beach, FL—October 16, 2009– Julie and Adam Reiser, husband and wife team out of Delray Beach, Florida, not only have a solid marriage and partnership but, they have a huge brood of six active boys ranging in ages from 4 years to 15 years, that alone could make a great story, or at least another sequel to the movie, “His, Mine, and Ours”.   And if raising six active boys weren’t enough to keep them busy from morning to night- they have also managed to build a thriving, successful business with Made in USA Certified, Inc., a third party, independent trusted and recognizable certification service that assures the products that make the claim of Made in USA are actually verifiably made right here in the United States. Adam Reiser was born on the East Coast in Patterson, New Jersey, and grew up in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey which was just 30 minutes outside the bright lights and bustle of New York City.  As a young boy growing up in a small town outside the city, he watched the Nation change in the 1970’s as the Japanese car market altered the American Car Industry and changed the landscape of our US Auto Industry forever.  He saw his friend’s parents lose their jobs as the Ford Motor Plant closed its doors in Mahwah, NJ – just after the devastating gas crisis, forcing many out of jobs, and blue-collar, middle class families to start again.

Not far from there, in the Midwest, Julie Dennison Reiser was born in Rapid City, South Dakota at the Ellsworth Air Force Base near the end of the Vietnam War, a descendent of a US Patriot who fought for this country in the Revolutionary War.  Julie was raised in the heart of the Midwest in an affluent suburb of St. Louis, Missouri and spent much of her childhood weekends at her family’s beloved 90 acre farm out in rural Rolla, Missouri.  As a young girl she watched her parents and their friends prosper through the 80’s and 90’s while the American Midwest farmers quietly struggled to stay afloat.

Adam and Julie came from very different American backgrounds and different regions in this big, vast, beautiful, Country of ours- called the United States of America, but, they both shared a deep love for their country and the freedoms we all enjoy.  Together they brought those passions together to create the original inception of their dream—Made in USA Magazine was born in

2005, which was a print and on-line magazine that told the stories, struggles and triumphs of the American Manufacturer.  Sadly, during that time period, outsourcing of manufacturing and outsourcing of jobs overseas was peaking and taking a large hold across this Country. Many US Manufacturers had to succumb to the lower prices from China & India and either outsource themselves or close their company doors.  It was sad for Julie and Adam to see so many families, towns, and regions completely decimated by the massive outsourcing of these American jobs- leaving many destitute, and unable to pay for basic necessities.  The writing was on the wall, that if the US shipped everything overseas, — what jobs were left for our own people- how would the US Economy survive?

As their collective fears mounted, Made in USA Magazine, struggled to stay afloat during a time, when printing costs were at an all time high and advertising dollars were tough to come by, they exhausted their personal resources and a new vision was born……Made in USA Certified, Inc.  (www.usa-c.com)

Around 2007 and 2008, more and more news were released in the mainstream media on the dangers of products from China—dog food, dry wall, toys, vitamins, milk, lead paint, GHB—devastating stories of children, animals, and adults that were damaged permanently or killed.  Certainly, as these news stories mounted—and the US Economy tanked- the US public has started to look around and ask questions….like how did we get to this place in the US? Why has my house lost its value?  Why can’t I find a job?  Why is the US dollar down and the economy in the worst recession since the Great Depression?  All good questions- and the key is that now more than ever….more people are asking them!

Made in USA Certified, Inc., is a third party, INDEPENDENT trusted and recognizable certification service that assures the products that you buy are actually made right here in the United States.  Anyone can make the claim Made in USA, in fact it has been documented that ingestible items,(and many other products), like vitamins and diet pills are coming over in shipper tanks from China- along with the multitude of fakes and copies- but, products we ingest are coming from China stamped with Made in USA.

The fact is that the US Imports far too many products and too much is coming over, and the US doesn’t have the staffing, or the money to verify and check each container that comes into our ports.  Lots of products are hitting our store shelves, coming into our homes and into our family’s mouths – that just simply are not safe and have stated false claims.
